| Herding
dogs have been used for centuries to help livestock
producers care for and control their animals. Demonstrations
will show how various dogs can help move sheep through
various obstacles. Today herding has also become a sport,
but the calm,. low-stress approach to livestock management
is still very much the goal. |

The
demonstrations are being provided by JoAnna Yund of
Training Camp, Inc. and her students. The Training Camp
facility is located in Scandia, MN and provides instruction
for all types of herding dogs. JoAnna has been involved
in training dogs for 30+ years and has maintained a
mixed wool flock for 20 years. |
