2011 Information for Vendors

Vendors of fiber and sheep related items will be showing their wares at the Festival. This is a juried selection of vendors.

Vendors Vendors

Pre-registered Vendors will recieve confirmation letters in the mail by the end of February. Please see letter here for pre-resgistered vendors. If you are interested in becoming a 2011 vendor filled out Vendor registration form here.

Vendor Fees

Indoor 10 ft. X 10 ft. (approx) $75.00 All buildings.
Outdoor  10 ft. X 15 ft. $55.00   
Tables 2 1/2' x 8' $10.00  
Camping, per night $15.00  

A vendor may rent a maximum of two booths

  • Booth application deadline March 1, 2011 to be listed in Festival brochure.
  • No refunds after April 9, 2011.
  • Prices are for 2 days. No single day booths are available. All prices include electricity!
    SET UP: Friday, May 6th - noon to 8 pm Please have cars and trucks moved to the parking area by 8:45 a.m. on Saturday & Sunday
    Saturday, May 7th - 6 am to 9 am
    FESTIVAL HOURS:
    Saturday, May 7th - 9 am to 5 pm   
    Sunday, May 8th - 10 am to 4 pm
    TEAR DOWN: Sunday, May 8th - 4pm to 6pm An additional fee will be charged to those who abuse this time frame.
  • This year we are asking vendors to volunteer as Building Coordinators. The role of the Building Coordinator is to serve as the person of contact for there building. The benefit of being a Building Coordinator is that you will have your name on the website and receive a discount on your booth. Please contact the Vendor Coordinator if you are interested in being a Building Coordinator.
  • This year we are planning a vendor welcome on May 7th at 8 am. This event gives us a chance to celebrate and get to know each other better.
  • Camping will be allowed on the grounds for a fee of $15/unit each night.

.Vendors will be juried and the Festival reserves the right to refuse inappropriate items.

Sales Tax As of July 1, 1997 all vendors at festivals must have a Minnesota Business Tax ID number and collect sales tax on appropriate items sold.  Information on obtaining a Tax ID number is available online or call the Minnesota Dept. of Revenue at (651) 282-5225 to register by phone.  You should download Sales Tax Fact Sheet 148Selling Event Exhibitors and Operators or ask for a copy when you register for your ID number.

Opportunities are available for fiber guilds and other fiber organizations to promote their organization at the Festival.  Reduced rates/waived fees are available in exchange for volunteer hours/demonstrations.
